This walk starts at the National Trust Car Park at Stickle Ghyll off the B5343 [Google Maps], 4.8 miles from Lowfield House by car.
The walk to Stickle Tarn which forms part of the Langdale Pikes, is one of the most popular in the Lake District. However, during quieter times of the day, the route can be quite solitary. There are parts that are challenging, but extremely rewarding with stunning views of the valley, waterfalls, and scenery. The route is well marked and can take up to 2 hours to complete.
The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
